Lua is an easy to use scripting language which allows for easy creation of on the fly PSP programs. If you haven’t already noticed, many fun games have been programmed using this language and the learning curve is not very long

http://www.luaplayer.org/

Lua Player
Lua Player 0.9 for PSP (tested on 1.0 and 1.5 firmware) with full source code (if you have a new PSP for Europe, it won't work)

Copy the EBOOT.PBP on your PSP and edit the script.lua for your own great programs and games. The script will be compiled on-the-fly on the PSP, without any compiler on your PC, you just need a text editor! A PNG loader is integrated, so you can write your own games with it, by changing the script.lua and copying all your PNGs to the game directory. And important for newbies (and sometimes for me): It doesn't crash (or at least it should not), but if you pass a null-pointer to a function, you'll get a nice error message, with the line in the script, which caused the error.

WIERD MESSAGING SYSTEM.....

Meetro has announced the new ‘Ultimate Breaking the Ice’ instant messenger program called Meetro. Being created by Paul Bragiel (CEO of Paragon 5) and Wendell Davis III (ex-producer of Cave Barn Studios), Meetro looks to be a smash. The uniqueness of Meetro is the ability to show the proximity in miles how far away each user is from you. “Meetro is the new dynamic way to meet people local to you.” Wendell Davis III exclaims, "Meetro makes finding people within walking distance a breeze -- perhaps even a summer breeze." It will allow users to have their picture and taglines, as well as have AOL AIM, and ICQ support (with plans of MSN, Yahoo and Jabber soon.)

"We've entered an early stage of development for handheld console support, which includes both Sony PSP and Nintendo DS." Bragiel says, “We see the DS and PSP as platforms that were designed to be used for applications besides games. We want to bring social software to these machines.” Unfortunately, we won’t see any of this software in action until Summer, 2006. Features given so far include:

- Instant Messenger program telling how far users are away from each other in miles.
- Includes taglines, user pictures and an extensive customizable user profile.
- The program has AIM, ICQ support. Yahoo support will come out later this month and MSN will be around the corner. Jabber support coming later.

Super Turbo Turkey Puncher 3 for PSP

dragula96 has finally released what we’ve all been waiting for, Super Turbo Turkey Puncher 3! Using Lua and the idea and graphics by iD software, this is a great way to relieve some stress. If this had some combos and finishing moves we’d be in heaven.

You can get it in our PSP Download section [here].

http://www.nurs.or.jp/~calcium/wearable/ on 2005/05/14 they used a PKB-800 keyboard to communicate with the psp... i think it isn't that difficult: just open irda0 and parse the incomming data...

USING AN INFRARED KEYBOARD - PDA style

AiboCam/Scope Mode
SEE WHAT AIBO SEES...
maybe we could get it to steal things... like a skilled robot monkey.

Could the wifi pistol become the tool of choice for PSP doggers?? The device has a range of miles and currently uses a PDA although I'm sure it won't be long before a PSP version becomes available...
